Just in case you break your derailleur hanger
Allows you to get back home should you break your hanger.
Remove broken hanger, derailleur and quick release (QR) skewer nut. Put the QR skewer through the Emergency Hanger, remove the spring and re-attach the nut. Secure the QR nut and skewer down tightly. Then re-attach the derailleur.
Will also work for 9mm thread axle. Similar installation to QR, but no need to remove skewer nut.
This is designed as an emergency fix not designed for long term use.
