BUHISAN / PAMUTAN / GUADALUPE
Sometimes, what you need at the very start of a route is a 20% gradient.
You get that on the first climb up to Buhisan. Then after there's another 4km of climbing to Pamutan.
Pamutan is also frequented by lots of trail runners. So if you are up for it, bike up to Pamutan, lock your bike, and go for a trail run.
Then afterwards, you'll be rewarded with a fast and steep downhill through fire roads and badly cemented roads. No tiny tires here.
OPTIONS:
- The reverse route is harder. Worth trying.
- Once in Pamutan, you have the option to explore the roads around it. It's a known area for trail runners and campers. There are also fire roads that currently lead to dead ends or enduro style single tracks.
BIG
A typically good weekend ride.
- 15.4 km
- 550 meters
- Out and out
- Gravel sections
- Cemented inner roads
- Big tires preferred
